Tomás Martínez-Trinidad received a Bachelor of Science degree in Forestry at the Universidad Autónoma Chapingo (México), a Master of Science degree in Silviculture at the Colegio de Postgraduados (México), and a Doctor of Philosophy in Arboriculture at Texas A&M University (U.S.A). While at the Colegio de Postgraduados, his research focused on the area of arboriculture and urban forestry issues. During his doctorate studies at Texas A&M University (College Station, Texas), Mr. Martínez-Trinidad studied the effect of exogenous applications of carbohydrates on the growth and vitality of urban trees. He has presented his master's and doctoral research at several scientific meetings and has been published in peer-reviewed research journals. Mr. Martínez-Trinidad is a research professor at the Forestry Program at the Colegio de Postgraduados in Mexico where he is interested on continuing research about arboriculture and urban forestry issues.
